BMW Showcases the Concept X7 iPerformance Vehicle

At the IAA Cars 2017 show in Frankfurt, Germany, BMW recently unveiled the BMW Concept X7 iPerformance — giving the automotive world a glimpse that the company’s newest design vision, which happens to also be a new model concept for the entire luxury segment.

The Concept boasts an elegant exterior that wraps around a comfortable, spacious cabin, evoking an overall sense of luxurious grace. Drivers and passengers alike will appreciate that interior features such as a panoramic sunroof, three roomy rows of seating and the state-of-the-art BMW Connected technology bring a new touch to the Sports Activity Vehicle.

The iPerformance badge denotes that the Concept yokes groundbreaking BMW eDrive technology with a BMW TwinPower Turbo gasoline engine, creating a plug-in hybrid powertrain that delivers efficient, dynamic driving in all situations — and can run with zero local emissions.

In a press release, Ian Robertson, Member of the BMW AG Management Board responsible for Sales and Brand BMW, declared, ” Since BMW founded the Sports Activity Vehicle segment with the first X5 back in 1999, every subsequent X vehicle has broken new ground. The BMW X7 continues this tradition… Furthermore, the BMW Concept X7 demonstrates it’s perfectly possible to combine a large sports activity vehicle with an electrified drivetrain.”
